On the tenth day of the first month, the Rabbit month, Guru Rinpoche abandons the kingship and the realm, practices yogic disciplines of union and liberation in the Chilly Grove charnel ground. 'Chilly Grove' charnel ground is one of the eight great charnel grounds and is situated near Bodhgaya).

Their Guru Rinpoche brings all the mātrikas (Mamo མ་མོ་ wrathful feminine deities forming part of Ekadzati’s entourage. The mamos are considered to be among the main natural forces, which may respond to human misconduct and environmental misuse by creating obstacles and disease) and Dakinis  (མཁའ་འགྲོ་མ་ khandroma a female embodiment of enlightened energy) within his power, he is known as Guru Śāntarakṣita.

On this auspicious 10th day of the first Lunar month, if we pray to Guru Rinpoche, our power, position and wealth will grow, and earth-lords and guardians will obey us like servants.

So take the rare opportunity and pray to Guru Rinpoche with a wish that the power, position and wealth that you accumulate would be dedicated to the wellbeing of all sentient beings.

Most amazing wonder of these teachings,
Lotus King, mighty lord of this world,
As for your family, you were born a prince of Zahor,
In Uḍḍiyāna you cut through all misconceptions,
And in Śītavana you gained the two forms of attainment.
Throughout this world you tamed malevolent forces,
And in this Snowy Land you spread the teachings.
In the southwest borderlands now you subjugate the rākṣasas.
Not passing into nirvāṇa, but remaining as beings' only friend,
Supreme heruka in whom the three kāyas are inseparable,
Supreme guru without equal, I remember you now.
